Blanched leafy greens with oyster sauce and piping hot sesame oil.
Ingredients
- 1 or 2 large bunches of leafy greens such as mustard greens, choy sum, bok choy or gai lan.
- oyster sauce
- sesame oil
Directions
- Remove the oyster sauce from the fridge and bring it up to room temperature.
- Wash the greens and cut into 10cm lengths.
- Blanch the greens in boiling water until wilted.
- At the same time, heat 2 tablespoons of sesame oil in a small saucepan until smoking hot.
- Drain the greens well. If the greens are very leafy, squash the greens in a sieve using the back of a spoon, to remove excess moisture.
- Place the greens on a plate and pour over an amount of oyster sauce.
- Pour over the smoking sesame oil.
Serve immediately.
