An easy to prepare dessert of hot baked pears with a tangy, sweet citrusy sauce.
Ingredients
- pears
- a few good splashes of maple syrup
- juice of 1-2 oranges
- 1 cinnamon stick
Directions
- Peel and halve the pears and remove the stem, core and seeds.
- Place in a baking dish with some maple syrup, orange juice and the cinnamon stick.
- Bake in a hot oven until tender, basting occasionally.
Serve with whipped cream, clotted cream or ice cream.
